It is important that you read and accept the IELTS test terms and conditions when you register for the test. You also receive the terms and conditions in the Notice to Candidates, which is included with the IELTS application form.

The terms and conditions contain important information, including details of:

  • Test day arrangements
  • What you can take into the test room
  • The rules you need to follow
  • Test security
  • What you can expect from the results process
  • Cancellations process
  • How we use your information

When you sign the declaration in the application form or opt-in on the registration website, you are confirming that you have read and understood the IELTS test terms and conditions and agree to abide by them.

Please note:

Security at IELTS tests is important to us. As an added measure, all participants will be required to have their photograph taken by IELTS administrative staff on their test day. Please make sure that you review the photograph instructions supplied to you after you have booked your test.

  • Test Date Transfer applies to candidates registered for the IELTS on a specific test date but choose to change to a different test date.
  • Candidates may request for a test date transfer if they notify Yayasan Dewan Inggris Indonesia at least five (5) weeks prior to the test date and it is subject to the availability of seats. There will be an administrative fee of IDR 450,000.
  • Candidates are not allowed to request for a test date transfer within five (5) weeks prior to the test date.
  • Transfer of test dates is allowed once only.

  • Cancellation applies to candidates registered for the IELTS but no longer need to take the test.
  • Candidates who seek to cancel their registration at least five (5) weeks prior to the test date will receive a refund. There will be an administrative fee of IDR 615,000.
  • Candidates electing to cancel their registration within five weeks prior to the test date are not entitled to a refund.

  • Candidates who seek to request a test date transfer or to cancel their registration within five weeks prior to the test will be eligible only if they can provide evidence to the centre that their ability to sit the test has been affected by an illness or a serious cause. Serious causes include serious illness – e.g. hospital admission or serious injury (does not include minor illness such as a mild cold); Loss or bereavement – death of a direct family member; Hardship/trauma – victim of crime, victim of a traffic accident.
  • The Yayasan Dewan Inggris Indonesia reserves the right to decline any test date transfer request or refund apart from those causes stated above.
  • Original supporting documents such as a doctor’s medical certificate or police report must be submitted along with the IELTS Request for Refund within three (3) calendar days from the actual test date.

  • Candidates who are absent on the test day will lose their full test fee.
