Plenary speakers for the East Asia Agents Conference 2026

Harry Anderson

Deputy Director (Policy and Global Engagement), Universities UK International

Harry Anderson is Deputy Director for Policy and Global Engagement at Universities UK International (UUKi), the body which supports over 140 UK universities with their international ambitions. 

As Deputy Director, Harry oversees UUKi’s work across a range of policy areas, including International Mobility, Global Research & Innovation, and Transnational Education (TNE). 

 

Sonia Wong

Regional Research Analyst Education Insights Hub East Asia, British Council

Sonia provides data analysis and coordinates insights for the East Asia region, informing UK education institutions and stakeholders of recent trends and policy developments in the region. She has 15 years of working experience as an analyst and economist across various organisations in Malaysia and Singapore, the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, and an international organisation for macroeconomic surveillance. 

 

Jazreel Goh MBE

Country Director Malaysia and East Asia Education Insights Hub Director, British Council

Jazreel joined British Council China in June 2004 where she led on the UK’s largest education marketing and partnership initiatives in mainland China. She has worked in various organisations in Malaysia, Australia, as well as Hong Kong in the areas of brand management, corporate planning and investment, international education consultancy, as well as in intellectual property licensing.

Satyadhi Hendra

Director, Indonesia-Britain Education Centre (IBEC)

Satyadhi Hendra, with over 25 years of experience in the education business, began his career as the Personal Assistant to the Managing Director of KING'S Group of Education. Simultaneously, he worked as a junior counsellor at IBEC, receiving training from the British Council in both Indonesia and Manchester. Since 2003, he has served as the company's director. 

Devina Sivagurunathan

Executive Director, MABECS, Malaysia

Devina Sivagurunathan is the Executive Director of MABECS, Malaysia’s most experienced UK education agency. Devina has 20 years of student recruitment experience in Malaysia and the UK. She was an International Officer at The University of Warwick and SOAS, University of London. She had a short foray into the world of football when she spent a year as the International Marketing Manager at UCFB. 

Van Nguyen

Country Head for Vietnam, AECC Global, Vietnam

A UK alumnus with a commitment to international education, Van specializes in student mobility rooted in career orientation. He has represented Bournemouth University across Vietnam, Southeast Asia, and East Asia, and now serves on AECC's global leadership team, focusing on strategic partnerships and sustainable recruitment practices.

Louise Tracey

Deputy Head of International and Postgraduate Recruitment 
The University of Edinburgh 

Louise Tracey is Deputy Head of International and Postgraduate Recruitment at the University of Edinburgh. With over 20 years’ experience in Scottish higher education, she has focused on international admissions and student recruitment. She also serves as Chair of the BUILA Southeast Asia Regional Interest Group, championing sector-wide collaboration.

Clare Mackay

Deputy Director of Student Recruitment and Admissions

Clare Mackay is Deputy Director of Student Recruitment and Admissions at the University of Edinburgh, with oversight of postgraduate and international student recruitment.  Clare also provides leadership to a number of University projects and fora focused on enhancing how we work across student recruitment and marketing. 

Eduardo Ramos

Head HE Systems and Internationalisation 

British Council  

Eduardo Ramos has 20+ years’ experience in international education policy and operations across the UK, France, Spain and the US. As Head of HE Systems and Internationalisation at the British Council, he leads the Going Global Partnerships strategy, overseeing TNE, exploratory grants and gender equality work. He holds a law degree and an MBA from UCL, and previously held senior roles at Universities UK.
