Resonansi (previously Sound Estuary) is a collaboration between Muarasuara and Newtoy Ltd. Resonansi will be conducted from mid Oct 2021 until February 2021.
The project focuses on how the UK sound and experimental music artists and Indonesian artists can exchange their ideas and practices.
Both collaborators will organise the settings for a live online UK-Indonesia workshops and a collaborative composition. We will also use the programme to launch a retrospective of sound art in Indonesia exposing them to UK audiences and vice versa. They will communicate with the artists to receive all the information needed for the programme and its marketing. Muarasuara will also be responsible for marketing to audiences in Indonesia and outreaching to institutions and media.
This collaboration will help launch them into prominence within SE Asia by strengthening their networks and developing audiences, bringing the project into the light for public outside their usual sphere of influence.
This project will be conducted by Joel Cahen of Newtoy Ltd in collaboration with Robby Ocktavian of Muarasuara, M. Chardery Pratama of F.I.H, Syahrullah (Ule) of Sindikat Sinema and Lagu Lama Kolektif, and Prashasti Wilujeng Putri of 69 Performance Club.
