His focus includes Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL), technology in education, and AI integration in EFL classrooms. He has published articles and presented on AI in language learning and is a board member of iTELL – Indonesia Technology-Enhanced Language Learning.

She started her career as a reporter, anchor and producer with Indonesia’s first commercial TV channel. She pioneered the country’s leading prime time news programme, interviewing some of the world’s most inspiring and influential figures. Currently, she is a senior anchor/journalist in CNN Indonesia and is hosting a daily programme, ‘Insight with Desi Anwar’.

Hantu Laut Reverb will explore the echoes of the non-human world through collaborations between Jol Thoms, Ismal Muntaha, Eiko Soga, George Clark and Waft-lab.  The project will amplify ecological issues and how people interact with the ocean from Gresik in East Java to the Berwick coastline in the UK. It prioritises community storytelling, both from humans and the marine ecosystem.

She realised that issues like access to care or medication adherence weren’t just clinical problems but were also shaped by behaviours, beliefs, and environments. With her MSc, she plans to become a researcher conducting studies that not only identify problems but also inform better healthcare systems, creating solutions that resonate with people's lived realities.

Eloise Yemima Sari is driven by a deep concern for climate change and aspires to apply her expertise in computer science and mathematics to mitigate its effects in Indonesia. She plans to leverage data science to address the complex challenges posed by the country’s vast area and population. After completing her studies, Eloise aims to become an environmental data scientist, contributing to the growing demand for such expertise.

 

 

Sonia Wong

Regional Research Analyst Education Insights Hub East Asia, British Council

Sonia provides data analysis and coordinates insights for the East Asia region, informing UK education institutions and stakeholders of recent trends and policy developments in the region. She has 15 years of working experience as an analyst and economist across various organisations in Malaysia and Singapore, the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, and an international organisation for macroeconomic surveillance.

Mr. Antonius Tanan is a Senior Director of Ciputra Group and the President of UCEC (Universitas Ciputra Entrepreneurship Center). He is currently a doctoral student of Athabasca University of Canada, and a member of the board of trustees of Habitat for Humanity Indonesia. Since 2005, he has been intensively assisting DR. (HC). Ir. Ciputra to spread entrepreneurship in Indonesia and also in some other countries to empower the Indonesian migrant workers.
