Gaia Khairina and Eliza Vitri Handayani from Intersastra (ID) along with Khanza Vinaa from Sanggar Swara (ID) will collaborate with Khairani Barokka (UK) on a project titled, "Trans Stories Transcending Borders".

This project celebrates transwomen's voices through publishing, performing and recording ten stories from Indonesian transwomen in a digital library and illustrated stickers posted in public spaces, and holding public discussions on queer and disability justice to nurture intersectional solidarity between Indonesia and the UK. 

Gaia Khairina

Gaia Khairina is the Partnerships Coordinator of InterSastra, an independent international arts and literary initiative based in Jakarta, Indonesia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Sciences. In her spare time, she writes poetry on nature, feminism, current issues, and explorations of the self.

Eliza Vitri Handayani

Eliza Vitri Handayani is a novelist and artist. She is also the founding director of InterSastra, House of the Unsilenced, and Fashion ForWords. As part of As-Salam Collective, she designed the fashion collection Indonesian Muslim Looks (2019). Her latest novel is From Now On Everything Will Be Different (Vagabond Press). 

Kanzha Vinaa

Kanzha Vinaa is the Program Manager for Sanggar Swara, a transwomen organisation in Jakarta which empowers young transwomen and advocate for their rights. She works on issues of gender equality, diversity, human rights, and LGBTQ+. She is also the Presidium Committee of Right Here Right Now Indonesia.

Khairani Barokka

Khairani Barokka is a Minang-Javanese writer and artist, with work presented in 16 countries. She is Researcher-in-Residence and Research Fellow at UAL's Decolonising Arts Institute, and Associate Artist at the National Centre for Writing (UK). Her latest book is Rope (Nine Arches) and her next is Ultimatum Orangutan (Nine Arches).

Currently this project has not been announced to the public, but future social media announcements will be through the social media channels of House of the Unsilenced, a program under InterSastra.
